Photos from the front stoop at 7 Dearborn Avenue, Beverly, Massachusetts

The front stoop of our house in Beverly was a popular place to take photos.  My great grandparents bought this house sometime between 1915 and 1920, after arriving here via Ellis Island from Yorkshire, England.  My grandparents raised my Dad and his two brothers here.  I lived in this house until I was about seven years old.

These photos are from the newly discovered slide collection sent to me by my cousin, Lani, and digitized by my cousin's son, Rob.  They all feature the front stoop at 7 Dearborn Avenue, Beverly, Massachusetts.  All these photos, except one, were probably taken by my grandfather, Donald Munroe Wilkinson ( 23 October 1895 - 24 July 1977).

My Mom, baby sister, Dad, grandmother Bertha (Roberts) Wilkinson,
and me.  Probably circa 1965 when my sister was under a year old.
I sill have that Dr. Seuss book "Are You My Mother".

My uncle, Robert Munroe Wilkinson, his wife, and my two cousins.
That red convertible looks rather snazzy.  I know it wasn't our car!

Uncle Robert Wilkinson, his wife, my grandfather Donald Munroe Wilkinson,
my grandmother Bertha (Roberts) Wilkinson, and cousin in the front row.
My cousin probably took this photo, he is missing from the group.
Mom, baby sister and me!  It looks like we are on our way to church circa 1965

Me on the front steps.  Probably taken in 1965, like the other photos.

These 1965 photos show the whole house (not just the front stoop!)

This blog post has a photo of my grandparents in front of this house in 1925, before they were married!
